Staff Accountant

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries.
• Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Maintaining general ledger charts of accounts.
• Assisting with all internal control compliance processes.
• Maintaining fixed assets.
• Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.
• Working with external financial auditors.
• Reviewing and reconciling accounts receivable ledger.
• Assisting with job budgets and contract schedules.
• Assisting with financial reporting requirements.

• Demonstrated ability with regards to business ethics standards.
• Ability to meet internal accounting deadlines and due dates.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Oracle software applications a plus.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required plus 2+ years of experience in accounting is preferred. Construction industry experience and CPA a plus.
