We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the company. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, assists with month-end close, prepares financial reports, and maintains compliance with accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with financial data and must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes
Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
Assist with accounts payable as needed
Support financial reporting and variance analysis
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Other Ad Hoc Projects
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
13 years of accounting experience (public or private) preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Jet Reporting and Adaptive is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
