Studio Operations & Growth Director — Full-Time | $70,000–$80,000 + Up to $38,500 in Bonuses

Are you the operator who makes a visionary founder's business actually run — and ready for a role where your ceiling is whatever this business becomes?

Have you moved real KPIs, built systems that outlasted you, and held a team to standards you can prove with specific numbers?

Are you looking for genuine authority, real upside, and a future where every new location and every new revenue stream Lola builds could have your name on it?

Why You'll Love Working With Us

• $70,000–$80,000 base salary — plus milestone bonuses up to $32,500 as Lola scales toward $2M+, and quarterly KPI bonuses up to $6,000/year • No ceiling on your growth — as Lola grows, your role, your compensation, and your opportunity grow with it; second location leadership, new revenue streams, and an ownership pathway are part of the plan — not a distant promise • Salon Cadence leadership coaching — ongoing executive coaching, industry events, and leadership retreats built directly into this role • 3 weeks PTO + wellness benefits • An earned 4-day workweek — compressed 34-hour schedule once your KPIs are moving and your results justify it • A mission that means something — 1% of revenue donated to the community, Green Circle sustainability partner, seven-time Salon Today 200 honoree

Who We Are

Lola Hair Studio is a premium boutique salon at 703 Mt. Auburn St, Cambridge, MA — on a mission to inspire confidence, courage, and connection through the beauty of design. A seven-time Salon Today 200 award winner, Green Circle sustainability partner, and founder-led team of approximately 12 professionals who believe that great culture and great results aren't opposites — they're the strategy. We're at $1.5M and building toward $3M. The operator who helps us get there grows every step of the way.

We Believe

Happy — Genuine warmth flows through everything we do — with guests, with each other, and with ourselves. A positive, uplifting environment isn't a perk. It's how we work. Generous — We give freely: our time, our expertise, and 1% of our revenue back to the community we serve. Generosity is a practice, not a policy. Growth Mindset — We pursue education, embrace honest feedback, and believe our best work is still ahead of us. Brave Leaders — We have the conversations that need to happen — holding standards with warmth and directness, because caring about someone means being honest with them. Life Harmony — Great work and great lives coexist here. We design our culture intentionally to support the whole person, not just the professional.

What You Will Accomplish

First 30 Days: Establish a proactive pull-leadership rhythm with the CEO — weekly KPI dashboard, flagged priorities, and solutions already attached First 90 Days: Earn full team trust through competence and consistency; deliver a prioritized operational audit and action plan Months 3–6: Implement core SOPs across all salon departments; move pre-booking, retail, and average ticket KPIs; develop the Guest Care Coordinator into a floor leader Year 1: Contribute to Lola reaching $2M in annual revenue — and collect the milestone bonuses tied directly to that growth

What You Will Do

• Own the floor — physically present, monitoring client experience, quality, cleanliness, and team performance in real time • Report proactively — weekly KPI updates to the CEO with solutions framed, not open questions waiting for direction • Build and document SOPs — repeatable systems for scheduling, inventory, pricing, retail, and vendor management designed to replicate across future locations • Lead the sales culture — coach the team on pre-booking, retail recommendations, and service add-ons through genuine confidence, not scripts • Hold the standard — direct, timely accountability conversations when pre-booking, retail, or service expectations slip — including with long-tenured team members • Develop the Guest Care Coordinator — daily coaching and progressive delegation toward expanded floor leadership • Delegate strategically — direct the VA on administrative execution so your focus stays at the leadership level where it belongs

You'll Thrive in This Role If You

You've been the right-hand to a visionary leader and loved making their vision real — but you're ready for more ownership, more impact, and a future that could have your name on it You bring decisions already made to your check-ins — not questions waiting for direction You can hold a long-tenured team member to a standard they're not meeting — warmly, directly, and without backing down when they push back You're genuinely excited about unlimited upside — the bigger Lola grows, the bigger your role, compensation, and future grow with it You find a boutique, relationship-driven environment energizing, and you know how to earn trust before you lead change You understand that Saturdays are part of the job, evenings are part of the week, and the 4-day schedule is something you earn — not something you negotiate on Day 1

Essential Experience

• 5–10 years of operations or general management in a service-based environment — salon/spa, upscale hospitality, premium retail, or boutique fitness all translate • Measurable KPI results you can speak to precisely — the metric, the baseline, and what it became under your leadership • P&L literacy and experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and inventory • Proven SOP development — you've built systems that outlasted your involvement • Sales culture leadership — comfortable coaching teams on service recommendations, retail, and pre-booking • Polished, brand-aligned personal presentation — you look and feel like Lola the moment you walk in

Ready to Build Something That Has Your Name On It?

Lola is an award-winning boutique salon with a team that believes in something, a founder who leads with emotional intelligence, and a clear runway to $3M — and beyond. If you're a builder who wants real authority, real upside, and a future where every new location and every new revenue stream could carry your fingerprints, this is the role you've been looking for. Apply today and let's talk.
