    The Opportunity

In this role, you will drive growth of a substation lifecycle and service portfolio across North America by converting installed-base insights, service history, spare-parts consumption trends, field-service feedback, obsolescence indicators, and system-assessment findings into qualified opportunities and orders. You will work with customers on asset lifecycle challenges, including reliability, performance, obsolescence, retrofits, upgrades, repairs, replacements, integrations, and modernization planning. The role involves developing opportunities, shaping technical and commercial solutions, managing pursuits from early development through order intake, and coordinating with assessment specialists, engineering, bidding teams, operations, and product stakeholders. How You'll Make an Impact

    • Develop a proactive pipeline using installed-base information, service history, spare-parts consumption, field-service feedback, and obsolescence indicators.
    • Shape opportunities from system insights and assessment findings in partnership with assessment specialists.
    • Manage qualified opportunities from early development through order intake.
    • Lead bid strategy, pricing approaches, and risk management for pursuits and RFQs.
    • Engage customers on system risks, obsolescence, lifecycle costs, and modernization roadmaps.
    • Define and develop solution scope including retrofit, upgrade, replacement, repair, integration, and hybrid approaches.
    • Translate assessment deliverables into project scope, customer value narratives, and commercial proposals.
    • Maintain opportunity management and forecasting activities within Salesforce and contribute to sales enablement activities and best-practice sharing.
    • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

    Your Background

    • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience (10+ years).

    • Experience in service sales, project sales, account management, lifecycle services, or engineered-solution sales.
    • Knowledge of high-voltage substations, asset lifecycle, obsolescence, retrofits, upgrades, and modernization solutions.
    • Familiarity with Salesforce, pipeline management, forecasting, pricing approaches, and proposal development.
    • Understanding of substations, including AIS/GIS, protection and control, transformers, and auxiliary systems.
    • 30%-40% travel required
