POSITION OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT
Substitute Instructor(s)
General Description: The substitute instructor will provide instructional activities which are consistent with the objectives of the MVCTC. The substitute instructor will direct the learning experiences of the students, including skill development, human relations, and leadership qualities which are necessary to obtain gainful employment. The instructor will perform in such a manner to ensure the best education possible for the students of MVCTC.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all requirements governing teacher education and certification
- Must hold or qualify for high school substitute (Bachelor''s degree or five years of industry experience in a field taught at MVCTC) or regular certification
- Must possess interest in young people
- Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty to which assigned
- Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
- Ability to move about in classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students
Length of Contract: As-Needed
Daily Rate: $150
