Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sushi Cook to join the team at our busy Asian restaurant. In this position, you will be responsible for using high-quality ingredients to prepare delicious sushi creations for our customers. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and committed to creating an excellent food in a fast paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Set up the sushi kitchen section with necessary tools, ingredients and equipment
• Prepare sushi maki rolls, nigiris, sashimis, crudos, tatakis, Omakases and present them in an appealing manner according 
• Work as a team with other Sushi Cooks and Chef specially during high volume shifts
• Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
• Follow all food safety regulations, inspect daily deliveries of fish and seafood.
• Know to clean, cut and prepare fish and seafood for the proper preparation of our sushi and omakase creations
• Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures including but not limited cleaning of sushi sections
• Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management  

Qualifications: 

• At least 2 years of previous experience as a Sushi Cook
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up  to 40 pounds
