# Posting Title Talent Acquisition Specialist

## Overview The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work to help elevate the Universitys recruitment strategy and employer brand by coordinating talent acquisition programs and activities that build a diverse pipeline of talent committed to our mission.

Responsible for leading and managing the entire recruitment process for assigned roles from start to finish, including sourcing candidates, evaluating resumes, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a smooth hiring process. This position is also responsible for ensuring a positive hiring experience for candidates. They will also work on HR initiatives that will improve the recruitment function.

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $60,000-65,000.

## Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key contact and coordination lead.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to understand the requirements of each role and how it fits into the University.
  • Guide and educate managers on the importance of following proper recruitment procedures and best practices.
  • Write and post job descriptions internally and externally on career websites, and universities boards.
  • Screen resumes that meet required competencies and minimum qualifications.
  • Telephone pre-screen or interview top candidates, where appropriate.
  • Check references if appropriate, extend offers and draft offer letters.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of recruitment, employment, HRSC, compensation, benefits, and other related organizational policies, practices, procedures, and/or regulations.
  • Ensuring all recruitment activities are compliant with University policies and regulations.
  • Maintaining and updating candidate databases and tracking systems.
  • Track, document, manage and provide recruitment metrics.
  • Assisting in the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Meet with new hires during the first day of employment and coordinate with the front desk to ensure all new hire paperwork and necessary compliance training is completed prior to employee beginning work in their respective school/department/office.
  • Coordinate with the front desk to complete employment files and I-9s.
  • Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve the process.
  • Participates in and provides analytical support in design, development, and implementation of recruitment projects and programs.
  • Provides support coordination of recruitment projects and related services to supervisors, hiring managers, recruitment team members, and others.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers, partners and communicate consistently and proactively throughout the recruitment process to ensure all participants in the hiring process are updated and well-informed.
  • Other administrative duties related to day-to-day operations as needed.

## Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources (or similar degree in Business) and 2 years of experience supporting a Human Resources team.
  • HRIS experience (Workday, Taleo, ICIMS or other ATS) preferred.
  • Be a creative problem solver with the ability to analyze and resolve challenges as they arise.
  • Serve as a resource to the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources teams and show a willingness to get the job done under tight deadlines and take initiative to suggest improvements or innovations to processes and tasks.
  • A professional HR certification is desirable (i.e., SHRM or HRCI certification).
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Google Suite tools as well Microsoft Office tools.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize as the days needs change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills preferred.
