How You’ll Contribute:

Kaufman Rossin is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our growing Tax Controversy practice in our Boca Raton office. Our Tax Controversy team partners closely with individuals, businesses, and legal counsel to navigate complex federal and state tax disputes, examinations, appeals, and remediation matters.

The Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative and operational support to professionals within the practice and play a critical role in ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, coordinating communications, managing sensitive and confidential information, and supporting client service initiatives. The ideal candidate is responsive, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring discretion, adaptability, and strong organizational skills.

  • Provide administrative support to Partners, Directors, Managers, and staff within the Tax Controversy practice
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, conference calls, and client appointments
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, engagement documents, and presentations
  • Assist with engagement setup, billing support, expense reporting, and document management
  • Maintain and organize confidential client files and records in accordance with firm policies
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reconciliations as needed
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and assist with workflow coordination across engagements
  • Support tax controversy projects involving IRS notices, examinations, appeals, remediation matters, and related documentation
  • Assist with practice operations, special projects, and process improvement initiatives
  • Provide general administrative and office support as needed

Requirements

What Skill’s You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of administrative or executive support experience, preferably within public accounting, legal, financial services, or professional services environments
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with document management systems and workflow tools preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment

How You’ll Stand Out:

  • Prior experience supporting tax, legal, controversy, or compliance-related professionals
  • Familiarity with IRS correspondence, tax documentation, or professional services engagement processes
  • Experience in a fast-paced client service environment
