Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift acute-care position requiring Epic experience and a valid OH or compact RN license.

• Acute-care Medical/Surgical unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level across the organization
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• IV start skills required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and peripheral line care
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Previous travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide acute-care medical/surgical nursing including telemetry monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line management
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
• Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference, but coworker references are not accepted
• RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently upon signing the contract due to strict credentialing timelines
