Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse
Job Summary
Join the dedicated team at the Calaway Young Cancer Center, part of Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in a dynamic outpatient clinic setting.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in patient assessment, education, and support, contributing to a holistic approach to cancer care. This position is focused on medical oncology clinic duties and is not an infusion-specific role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient clinic environment.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor symptoms, and evaluate treatment responses.
Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, medication management, and supportive care.
Collaborate effectively with oncologists, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of recent oncology nursing experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Current Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card.

Shift Details
Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week, starting at 7:30 AM daily.
Call Requirement: No call.
Weekend Rotation: No weekends.
Contract Length: 13 weeks.
Start Date: August 11, 2026.
Licensing Requirements
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado or a Compact State RN license in good standing.
