Shift: 2:30 to 11 PM M-F, no call

Job Description:

Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations and will act as a patient advocate. He/she is responsible for meeting surgical standards of nursing practice. He/she will maintain skills in setting priorities, organizing workload effectively, changes in assignment and integrating multiple assignments with multilevel personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Participates and implements age specific care and interaction.
• Employee has attended departmental orientation (training).
• Implements age specific training.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team (RN, LPN, NA, Physician and ancillary disciplines) in the assessment of the patient/family.
• Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program with current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• 2 years or more experience (strictly enforced).
