Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced welder for a full-time, first shift position in our fast-paced job shop. Our team operates in a collaborative environment where cross-training is emphasized to ensure the production of highly precise, defect-free products for the power industry. We offer a full complement of benefits after a 60-day qualification period.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding with a variety of metals, particularly stainless steel down to 20 gauge and some aluminum.
• Read and interpret drawings and weld symbols.
• Grind, polish, stud, and spot weld as required.
• Utilize modular fixturing effectively.
• Participate in weld and print tests during the interview process.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of TIG and MIG welding experience in a relatable industry.
• Formal welding school training.
• Minimum of 1-year experience with modular fixturing.
• Ability to stand, sit, reach, bend, stretch, lift up to 75 lbs, push, pull, and perform fine tactical skills.
• Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality standards is beneficial.
• Independence and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must supply your own helmet and gloves.
• Prefer candidates residing in Columbus or surrounding areas.

Shift Details

First Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. Includes two paid 10-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid meal time.

Compensation

Wage is dependent upon experience and fit, negotiable based on interview and test results. Minimum starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with evaluations after meeting qualifications for full-time transition.
