We are now hiring for a full-time Year-Round CYSC Youth Employment Coordinator to join our Calumet Team! 
 
SALARY: 
  • The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $_20.00_ and $_23.00_hourly. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates One Summer Chicago program including all administrative functions.
  •  Maintains attendance records for Year- Round CYSC Youth Employment Youth Workers in UltiPro’s Time Management System and funder system.
  •  Responsible for document collection, filing, and reporting.
  • Creates records and files of all Chicago Youth Services Corps participants
  • Provides support to program staff when needed.
  • Approves and submits the time registers for all CYSC participants to payroll.
  • Reconciles UltiPro time registers with Cityspan data entry.
  • Assigns, distributes, record, collects all CYSC equipment.
  • Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  •  Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  •  Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • One year of administrative experience, including in automated systems, required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Driving for work required with a personally owned vehicle

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
