Assists and trains in performing inspection duties on construction projects in areas of concrete placement, and performing all required field tests to include checking slump and sir content of concrete as well as making test cylinders and obtaining necessary samples of materials ensuring compliance with SCDOT plans and specifications. This position requires driving and walking for extended periods, treading rough and uneven terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and natural environmental hazards.
li>Assist in the supervision of Field Engineers assigned to the project by assigning daily tasks, resolving employee relations/site issues; interpret construction drawings and specifications for trades. Provide analytical and physical support in the manufacturing group through close monitoring and on-site supervision in the implementation of the CAPEX project to ensure that the CAPEX projects are being executed according to the design and scope.
