Courier Jobs

Middle aged delivery personnel

Couriers are in charge of collecting and delivering in good condition any document, parcel, or other item that private citizens, companies, institutions, or government might need to transfer to another location or person. They usually operate within one region or urban area. Courier jobs have always been essential, but since the diffusion of e-commerce businesses in the mid-1990s they’ve exploded. The result is a thriving industry that has plenty of full-time roles, as well as part-time and seasonal positions.

In a courier job, your main duty is picking up and delivering your assigned deliverables to designated locations within an established time. To become a courier, the minimum requirements are usually a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. Keep in mind that depending on the size of the vehicle you’re going to operate, you might also need to acquire a commercial driver’s license. Plus, if your role requires you to transport sensitive or hazardous objects you could be asked to follow special courses.
