University Hospital houses 23 operating rooms (ORs) covering various service lines including Thoracic, General Surgery, Hepatobiliary, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Oral, Plastics, Ear, Nose, and Throat, as well as Abdominal Transplant (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Intestine, and Multivesicular). Requires knowledge of various surgical procedures in order to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and to recognize the problems encountered by the surgeon within 12 months of employment.
