Job Category: Manufacturing & Operations Job Family: Machine Operations Work Shift: Days (United States of America) Job Description: This is a fulltime day shift position working on a consistent 7:00 am - 7:00 pm rotating schedule. <ul><li>Pay starts at $22.00 an hour </li><li>$1,000 sign on bonus </li><li>$1 weekend premium </li><li>Eligible for all benefits day 1 of hire </li><li>8% 401K match </li></ul>EssentialDuties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Safely and efficiently operate packaging equipment and machinery. </li><li>Perform troubleshooting and predictive maintenance inspections, as well as minor repairs as needed. </li><li>Maintain working area as clean (free of floor debris), organized, and free of standing water. </li><li>Closely monitor packaging quality, make necessary adjustments and communicate changes. </li><li>Keep detailed records and document changes made to the machine during the shift. </li><li>Perform set-up activities such as mechanical assembly as well as loading of packaging materials, such as caps, corrugate and inner cartons. </li><li>Responsible for detailed cleaning activities in all packaging equipment as well as other areas of the plant on a regular basis; this can occasionally mean entire shifts of cleaning duties. </li><li>Consistently meet production needs and goals while making efforts to minimize product shrink and downtime. </li><li>Maintain levels of glue, lubrication, ink and other consumables as needed. </li><li>Maintain proper levels of consumables in correct locations in work area. </li><li>Actively participate in shift exchanges and work team meetings. </li><li>Able to identify Critical Control Points (CCP). </li><li>Follow Good Lab Practices and safety SOP's regarding proper labeling and use of chemicals. </li></ul>Other Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>This position may provide limited work direction to Case Stackers. </li><li>Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. </li><li>Separate liquid product waste from packaging waste and properly dispose of. </li></ul><ul><li>This position requires the ability to work with dairy and nut products in addition to other related ingredients and allergens. </li><li>Safety Protocol <ul><li>Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures. </li><li>Correct or report any observed safety hazards. </li><li>Support safety policies and programs. </li></ul></li></ul>This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Qualifications: Education:<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred. </li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum one (1) year of experience running a production/packaging line is preferred. </li><li>Minimum one (1) year of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. </li></ul>Certification/Licensure:<ul><li>Ability to be forklift and pallet jack certified. </li><li>Ability to be Lockout Tagout (LOTO) certified. </li></ul>Skills Required:<ul><li>Demonstrate attention to detail in work. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience. </li><li>Dedication to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind. </li><li>Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues. </li><li>Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as rates and ratios. </li><li>Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information. </li><li>Able to exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, copy data from one record to another, etc.). </li><li>Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships </li></ul>Eligible partners will receive: Eligible partners will receive:<ul><li>Get not one, but TWO retirement benefits. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and high food safety standards. A and C Crew: 6am-6:30pm B and D Crew: 6pm-6:30am 10% shift differential when working overnight hours, $2/hr when working weekends Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Filler: <ul><li>Operate and monitor production filler equipment to ensure food safety, product quality and conformity to customer standards and specifications. </li><li>Safely and efficiently set up, operate and clean filler machines/equipment as assigned. </li><li>Actively participate in startup, troubleshooting/adjustment, stop/reset and shutdown of line equipment; clearing jams and reporting malfunctions to Supervisor as needed. </li><li>Complete instructions and on-line documentation including Quality and Critical Control Point (CCP) checks accurately and at the required frequencies. </li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed work logs and inventory records. </li><li>Perform machine cleaning and sanitizing per company SOPs </li><li>Actively participate in shift exchanges and work team meetings. </li></ul>Downline:<ul><li>Operation and cleaning of the downline packaging equipment. This includes but is not limited to the Conveyors, Labelers, Drop Packer, Taper, Palletizer, and Case Erector </li><li>Cleaning and CIP functions on the downstream equipment and surrounding area as dictated by the master sanitation plan </li><li>Coordination of label and product changes on the downstream equipment </li><li>Reporting any safety or maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor or by filling out work order requests </li><li>Maintains a high level of productivity in complying with the position requirements </li></ul>Support:<ul><li>Visually inspect the packaging prior to stacking </li><li>Ensuring all boxes are stacked as specified based on item, pallet, and quantity per pallet </li><li>Assist Line Operator with cleaning and quality control operations </li><li>Rotate line duties as requested by the Line Operator </li></ul>All positions maintain a high level of housekeeping and operating in a safe work environment.
