Conducting building inspections as scheduled by Director of Facilities ManagementPreparing apartments and grounds for new tenantsTeaching residents and staff how to maintain appliances and groundsWorking with volunteers and residents, whenever possiblePerform minor and major repair to all buildings and equipmentPerform preventive maintenanceRepair/replace broken windows, doors, door locksFollow all safety rules and procedures as defined by Director of FacilitiesOn-call for emergencies and respond to emergency maintenance requests through on-call schedule Work occasional weekend day(s), throughout the year, as deemed necessaryAssume other duties as requiredPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience in general maintenance, construction, or property management. Painting, spackling and wall repairs as well as assisting and supporting others in the overall maintenance of all Mercy Haven properties:Monitoring the buildings to ensure that they are maintained in safe, decent, and sanitary conditionsPerforming routine maintenance and household repairs, such as painting, minor wall repair, landscaping and power washing, stripping and waxing floors, tiling, and cabinet work, etc.
