Functional Requirements: Receives material, checks for, documents, and reports any damage, and validates shipping documents; adds required markings to received material, completes required documentation on packing slips and tally sheets, then safely transports and places materials in designated storage areas; reviews pull sheets for material to be delivered to production areas, determines delivery destinations and most efficient handling process, and, for pipe, optimum quantities; makes material deliveries to shop and documents deliveries; routinely checks storage areas for needed maintenance for reasons of safety, preservation, and marking; conducts and documents physical counts of material for job close-outs and annual count reconciliation to book inventory; monitors mobile equipment, slings, cables, chains, lifting beams, etc. for safety issues and reports any concerns to supervision; may fill in for supervisor during absences; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.
