Responsibilities• Ensure that you and your assigned team are following all safety, GMP, and quality policies and regulations.• Facilitates Daily Huddle/Tailgate meetings to communicate and educate team members on Safety, Food Safety, Production goals/results and other organizational initiatives.• Monitor all areas to ensure product quality and that the product specifications are being adhered to.• Ensures all materials being used are compliant with spec sheets and documented on daily production reports.• Leads the setup of equipment and surrounding work areas, ensuring equipment and work areas are clean, properly calibrated and safe to operate.• Performs assigned preventative maintenance to ensure readiness of equipment while limiting machine failure and downtime.• Leads the proper and safe changeover of packaging/production equipment and materials to support scheduled production.• Actively provides training to Team members on equipment, tasks and processes to learn all aspects of packaging equipment operation and products/requirements.• Facilitates the daily rotation of team members to support various packaging/production areas to provide rest and meal breaks/lunch rotations to support packaging needs.• Leads the daily/weekly/monthly sanitation of production/packaging equipment, conveyors, tools and associated work areas.• Facilitates the return of unused packaging material to assigned locations.• Monitors finished product quality with a focus on eliminating cripples and increasing the throughput.• Actively communicates with other team members, team leaders and supervisors to identify and resolve challenges while improving operational efficiencies.• Performs routine safety checks to ensure workspace is free from potential safety risks while working with overall bakery team to promote a safe workplace environment.• Actively leads, trains, promotes, participates and practices 5s/6s methodology• Participates in Root Cause Analysis exercises, assigned projects and process improvement initiatives.• All other work as assigned. Distribution Associates/ Forklift (1st Shift) We are hiring Distribution Associates. The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, shipping / receiving experience with Forklift Operation. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. <ul><li>Primarily operating stand-up forklifts. Requires at least 2 year of standup forklift and 3 years sit down forklift experience. </li><li>We believe in safety first so the first 5 - 8 days will be computer-based safety training. This training comes with a test after every module and is designed to teach the company way. </li><li>After completion of safety training, they will begin work on the floor with receiving and shipping small parts and general housekeeping. This is a warehouse position, not just a forklift position.</li><li>Forklift training will begin during their fourth week of employment. Forklift certification will be done by a trainer. </li></ul> PAY RATE: 20.00 hour 
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA 95837 Schedule: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM 
Workdays: Monday Friday (approximately 5 6 Saturdays per year, based on business needs) Includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. We are currently averaging 40 hours per week. During peak season, employees can expect 5 10 hours of overtime per week, with some Saturdays required (a minimum of two weeks notice will be provided). DUTIES: <ul><li>Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.</li><li>Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.</li><li>Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.</li><li>Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.</li><li>Completes written and computerized documentation.</li></ul> REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>Requires a high school diploma or GED.</li><li>Drug Test</li><li>Background Check</li><li>Requires at least 2 year of standup forklift and 3 years sit down forklift experience.</li><li>FOOTWEAR REQUIRED- Employees are required to wear safety footwear meeting the minimum ASTM Standard F-2413-18 Standard Performance Requirements for Protective (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear and include puncture resistant soles during hours of employment. </li></ul> ABILITIES: <ul><li>Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.</li><li>Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.</li><li>Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.</li><li>Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.</li><li>Effective verbal communication skills.</li><li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds.</li></ul> Pre-Employment Screening: Please note that all offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening based on local, state and federal laws in your region.
