Under a physician's supervision, the APP is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting comprehensive physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests such as medical imaging and laboratory tests, administering treatments (e.g., suturing, casting, incision and drainage, suture removal, minor procedures), monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.
