Structural BIM Modeler (Revit) - Structural Engineering - Base Salary to 31.00/hour - Miami, FL<ul><li>Our client, a structural engineering consulting firm supporting commercial and industrial construction projects nationwide, is seeking a Structural BIM Modeler to support structural design and documentation efforts from their Miami, FL office.</li><li>This role focuses on developing Revit-based structural models and construction documents for new construction projects in a collaborative engineering environment.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain structural BIM models using Revit Structure for commercial construction projects </li><li>Produce construction documents (plans, sections, and details) based on engineering designs </li><li>Generate 3D structural models to support design coordination and visualization </li><li>Revise models and drawings based on redlines and engineering feedback </li><li>Coordinate with structural engineers and internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables </li><li>Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle </li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ years of experience using Revit Structure for structural modeling</li><li>Experience producing structural construction documents (CDs)</li><li>Experience working on commercial building projects (e.g., office, retail, multifamily, or similar) </li><li>Understanding of structural systems, including steel and/or concrete construction </li><li>Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet project deadlines </li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>Base salary in the 26.00 - 31.00/hour range</li><li>Medical and dental insurance </li><li>Life and short-term disability insurance (employer-paid) </li><li>401k with profit sharing </li><li>Flexible work hours</li></ul>#INDALL

Job Summary:
<div>Miller Electric-The BIM Modeler is involved in the strategy, process, modeling, and coordination of projects being prepared for construction. The BIM Modeler supports the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) process through accurate digital representation of electrical systems and maintains close communication with VDC Coordinators to ensure coordination, clash-free modeling, and successful prefabrication and field execution. #Miller #LI-JJ1 </div>

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
<ul><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Utilize plans laid out by Project Layout Designers (PLD) to build a digital model according to Miller Electric standards.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Use Revit to Utilize basic modeling tools</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Gain a working knowledge of conduit systems, equipment types, supports, and related electrical components.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Set and manage Revit View Ranges, View Templates, Section Views, and 3D Views to create effective floor plans and model visuals.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Model conduit accurately, including bends, offsets, standard spacing, and routing to junction boxes, panels, and stub-ups.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Add conduit labels and input parameters such as Conduit ID, To/From, and Panel Name.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Model hangers, racks, and support systems for conduit and cable tray runs.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Model cable trays in accordance with code-required clearances, correct types/sizes, and submittals.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Place and coordinate lighting fixtures based on RCPs and submittals, maintaining proper elevation and mounting.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Insert and space electrical equipment such as switchgear, panels, transformers, and disconnects based on submittal cut sheets and clearance requirements.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Populate and maintain Revit schedules (Conduit, Equipment, Cable Tray, Material, etc.); export to CSV for prefab and field use.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Create 2D/3D ISO and fabrication shop drawings according to standards.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Perform clash detection using Navisworks (Manage) or BIM 360 Model Coordination; resolve spatial conflicts and document adjustments.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Participate in virtual construction coordination meetings to review clashes, discuss routing changes.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Maintain project documentation and trackers (spool checklists, drawing tracker updates).</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Review work for accuracy and compliance with Miller Electric standards.</li><li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc;" aria-level="1">Support prefab and construction teams with accurate and up-to-date model data.</li></ul> 

Qualifications:

They are proactive problem solvers who ensure model accuracy, support clash detection, and help improve coordination across design, engineering, and production teams.
