The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, been certified on a forklift, and can work independently or as a team. Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for coordinating and supporting all materials and resins required to manufacture plastic injection molded products through mixing colorants with resins, delivering raw material to presses and removing finished goods from the production floor. This is not a job where you are an order picker and will be sitting on a tow motor 95% of the day. It is an active and vital role to our production group that is a combination of using electric pallet jacks, climbing and working on/around injection molding presses, entering data into our ERP system to assist with managing inventory levels, and some-to-little tow motor use. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for supplying production machines and work cells with required types of raw and packaging materials</li><li>Retrieve different resin materials.</li><li>Mix thermoplastic materials and coloring pigment according to supplied formula in Process Books.</li><li>Material handling and manually switch over materials used on machinery.</li><li>Perform daily machine inspections, and complete appropriate paperwork.</li><li>Support the Molding Process Technicians with the operation of Battenfeld injection molding presses, ranging in size from 65 to 720 tons, to inject products from thermoplastic materials.</li><li>Support the mold changeover process through execution of cleaning of dryers, loaders, and material bins.</li><li>Performs cleaning and calibration responsibilities and records performed tasks on corresponding documentation</li><li>Assure first in-first out and material identification are maintained in documentation system.</li><li>Issue and return materials through Epicor (ERP).</li><li>Maintains tracking barcode label on transport bins and transports finished bins to designated areas</li><li>Tracks and records component lot number changes to ensure accuracy of documentation</li><li>Move materials, supplies, and components from warehouse and transports to molding production area; or from the molding area to the warehouse.</li><li>Contributes to keeping the receiving and warehouse areas clean and organized</li><li>Recycle packaging materials.</li><li>Operates forklift or pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products</li><li>Completes administrative duties such as data entry, resolving minor issues, and making cardboard or plastic bales</li><li>Works according to safety regulations at all times and reports unsafe conditions immediately</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Physical Demands: <ul><li>While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and airborne particles</li><li>Constant bilateral simple hand grasping.</li><li>Continuous visual sensory demands: near acuity, color vision, and depth perception.</li><li>Frequent lifting and/or carrying a maximum of up to 40 lbs.</li></ul> Requirements: <ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training</li><li>Prior experience in warehouse environment and/or industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.</li><li>Customer focused from both an internal and external perspective.</li><li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with multiple levels of the organization.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form</li><li>Ability to obtain Forklift license and operate a motorized forklift</li></ul> Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services. Nesco Resource is hiring for a customer of ours in Avon, Ohio. This is for a 3rd shift postilion with the hours 3rd Shift - 10:00 pm-6:00 am (Sunday-Thursday) with the possibility of overtime. Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour Purpose of the Position Operates a variety of stamping machinery to join or bond metal components into automotive parts and assemblies. Job Functions:<ul><li>No experience Needed</li><li>Follows written instructions to determine production requirements and part specifications as displayed on scheduling boards and work standard sheets. Secondary sources of information include, but are not limited to, oral instructions for supervisors and/or other associates.</li><li>Operates stamping machines in accordance with OSHA standards and Company procedures using required safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses, shoes, ear plugs, sleeves, gloves, etc.</li><li>Manually loads parts into machine, activates weld/assembly cycle/process, and removes metal components from machine and places or packages into specified container according to established process.</li><li>Inspects parts visually for quality defects including, but not limited to, scrap marks, rust, burs, lamination, etc. Uses measuring devices including micrometers and calipers to compare parts to standards.</li><li>Maintains clear and accurate production, quality and inventory records by completing production reports, scrap reports and lot tags.</li><li>Completes all required machine safety checks or verifications at prescribed times and records on check sheet.</li><li>Monitors stamping machine operations for malfunctions relying on both visual and auditory cues. Reports occurrences to appropriate personnel.</li><li>Performs routine and preventative stamping machine maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, machine lubrication and tip changes/filing.
