Reporting to the Executive Director of Supply Chain and Contracting Services, the Procurement and Contracting Manager is responsible for leading procurement operations and contracting activities, establishing priorities, allocating resources, monitoring performance, driving cost management initiatives, developing sourcing strategies, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, supporting process improvement efforts, and fostering effective stakeholder and supplier relationships. The Purchasing Department provides centralized procurement services for the acquisition of a wide array of supplies, equipment, and services to support the needs of the health system including UC Davis Medical Center, UC Davis Children's Hospital, Same-Day Surgery Center, Comprehensive Cancer Center, 48X Outpatient Surgery Center and Ambulatory Division including 17 Primary Care Clinics and the Folsom Medical Office Building.
