Services the NICU nurses provide include physical care of the ill neonate, emotional support and comfort needs of families, family information and education, attention to safety needs of the infant and their family, providing confidential treatment that respects infant and family privacy, providing referral and discharge planning needs. The PCT assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
