Your seasonal placement in this role is contingent on holding a current, valid certification at the start of camp and throughout the season Other qualifying credentials accepted under N.J.A.C. 8:25-5.2 include: licensed NJ physician, NJ-licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, certification in Advanced First Aid, paramedic, EMT, First Responder CIM, or BOC-certified athletic trainer. The Health Director is not authorized to administer medications outside of what is documented in DEAN Adventure Camps’ written medical policies and the written authorizations on file for each camper, nor are they authorized to make medical diagnoses; their role is to provide first aid, monitor wellness, document observations, escalate appropriately, and coordinate with parents and EMS.
