strong>Position Overview: - The Tax Preparer should be well versed in preparation of income tax returns with a focus moderate to complex corporate, partnership and individual tax returns and sales tax returns. Responsibilities:
- Prepare moderate to complex tax returns (federal/state), multi-state and multi-source income.
This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while helping ensure the organization's financial integrity and compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment, and possess strong technical and analytical skills. This role reports directly to the Controller and plays a key part in managing grant-related accounting, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join a thriving retail company and support its Accounting & Finance department. Work closely with the Housing Finance Manager to coordinate timely transfers for mortgages, reserves, excess cash flow, and program related funds. Manage all month end close tasks, including posting accruals and journal entries, while reviewing and correcting any misclassified transactions. p>My client is a hospitality-driven organization operating across multiple venues, including event spaces, food and beverage concepts, wellness offerings, and creative offices. This role supports financial operations across multiple hospitality units, including reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
