Substance Use Disorder Counselor Position Highlights:$3,000 Sign On BONUS (prorated to hours worked), Up to $1500 on your first full paycheck and up to $2000 after 6 months, depending on hours workedNon-exempt position Hourly rate is $24.04/hr and up (based on education and experience)Flexible hours, no set schedule or required hours per monthAbility to decline offered shiftsPaid training and continuing educationSupportive, collaborative environmentSubstance Use Disorder Counselor Responsibilities:Assessing clients' physical and mental behaviorsFacilitating individual and group therapy sessions in English and SpanishCollaborating with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correctionIdentifying behaviors that interfere with treatment and recoveryAssisting primary caregivers to manage addiction-related behaviorMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentSpeaks fluent Spanish and EnglishCADC-R, or ability to be credentialed as CADC-R by MHACBOOne year of experience in social services or behavioral healthExcellent written and oral communication skills.
