What you will do in this role: · Performs complete head to toe newborn assessment with plan of care in a family centered setting · Medication administration with understanding of side effects for newborn population · Infection control for newborns · Demonstrates proficiency with computerized documentation · Lactation support for breastfeeding mothers in accordance with policy · Provides family centered education based on family needs · Demonstrates knowledge of normal lab values of the neonate and recognizes and reports abnormalities of neonate and mother.
