Responsibilities: Tenure-track faculty in the biology department at Indiana University Bloomington are expected to substantially contribute to the overall academic excellence of the department by developing and/or maintaining a robust research portfolio including pursuing and obtaining major extramural research funding to conduct cutting-edge research as a principal investigator, teaching undergraduate and graduate in the classroom, mentoring graduate students in our graduate programs, participating in service at the University and actively engaging with their professional community. IUB's mission is to create, disseminate, preserve, and apply knowledge through cutting-edge research, scholarship, arts, and creative activity; challenging undergraduate, graduate, professional, and lifelong educational programs; meaningful experiences beyond the classroom; and expansive global educational opportunities.
