The candidate will work alongside their Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst peers in all aspects, from idea generation to company meetings, including but not limited to the following:Perform complex financial modeling & valuation workWrite regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratchDevelop databases integral to our research productDemonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgmentWork with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themesBuild relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companiesParticipate and contribute to client meetings and eventsAttend meetings and interact with key opinion leadersClosely follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity, and relay to analyst when travelingSeek out new, value-added, and/or unusual sources of informationLeverage our robust network of industry contactsInteract regularly with clientsResponsibilities:Conducts analysis of financial data, news, and other information to identify opportunities and risks related to companies, industries, or financial instrumentsAssists in structuring, pricing, and executing transactions to assist in developing financing solutions for existing and emerging companiesAttends to day-to-day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs, responding to client inquiries, logs, and records dataLeads and/or supports the preparation of associated financial models and written reports, which can be complex and quantitative in natureManaging resources, coordinating assignments and prioritizing team work loadOrganizing workflowKeeping the machine running day to dayTraining and skills developmentCareer coaching and mentoringQualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience (business, hard sciences or engineering degree preferred)3-5 years of experience in investment banking and/or research (equity or credit, sell-side or buy-side)Prior experience in aerospace and defense or related experience preferredMajor(s) and areas of academic excellence should include Accounting and Finance, specifically in financial modeling & valuation work or mathematics or engineering Strong writing and spreadsheet skills.
