Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients. Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 185 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who wanted to help the poor women and children of Dublin. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill her dreams. Summary: Veterinarians are under guidance and supervision of the owners and management team. Veterinarians are expected to make every effort to help improve the quality of care given to the clients of Hawthorne Animal Hospital. The Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) diagnoses and treats injured or ill animals. Primarily, DVM’s administer medication, vaccinations, perform surgeries, and provide general and preventative health care for pets.
