Knowledge of: State of California statutes and regulations on emergency medical services; supervisory theory and techniques; basic medical terminology and equipment related to pre-hospital and trauma care; group dynamics and community organizations; techniques for collecting, compiling and analyzing data pertinent to EMS pre-hospital and trauma systems and care; statistical record keeping; principles and practices of training; methods of program evaluation and curriculum development; personal computers and ability to effectively use software programs (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets and databases). Experience: Three years in an emergency medical setting or public health/medical emergency management setting, at least one year of which included responsibility for implementing and monitoring an emergency medical services program (e.g., emergency ambulance service, health department or hospital emergency management program).
