Conduct and assist, by administering, as indicated: pregnancy tests, occult blood tests, hematocrits, blood draws, peak flows, glucose monitoring, PPD’s, injections, immunizations, flu shots, etc., Snellen tests, EKGs, Ishihara’s color test, rapid strep tests, tympanograms, hearing tests, and dipstick urine samples. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), based upon Washington State licensure and scope of practice as defined by Samaritan Clinic Leadership, is responsible for providing patient care to his/her assigned patients under the supervision of the Provider (physician, PA or ARNP) or RN.
