The Executive Medical Director, Global Medical Lead (GML), Pain is a critical leadership role in Global Medical,responsible for the global medical strategyand implementationand trackingofglobal activities fora designateddisease area(s).Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to,diseaseareaspecificIntegratedMedical Plan development,includingthepublication plan,globallaunch strategyand execution, scientific leadership, external medical expert engagement, and strategicalignmentwith commercial and other cross-functional business partners. They will lead theglobal medical affairs team for the designated disease area(s) andrepresentsMedical Affairs in all Global strategicteamswithDevelopment and Commercial, including the Disease Strategy Team (DST)to drive cross-functional alignment,anticipatefuture needs, and contribute toMedical Affairsand Vertex’s long-term success.
