Making arrests without a warrant for any offense, patrolling the facility grounds and structures to prevent and detect theft, damage, or unauthorized entry, monitoring alarm systems, closed circuit television systems, and telephone and radio networks, regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic, receiving and acting on calls concerning reports of breaches of the peace, violations, complaints, emergencies, accidents, and/or injuries, taking statements from persons involved and follows up on information obtained. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Identifying suspicious activity and potential threats by patrolling on foot or by vehicle OR, Using force protection methods to protect personnel, property, and/or other resources OR, Controlling and monitoring individuals entering or leaving a facility and/or building OR, Using a variety of security equipment to support routine or emergency operations.
