Minimum Qualifications for Open Competitive Appointment: A high school diploma, a high school equivalency diploma issued by a recognized state educational authority or a USAFI GED high school certificate, AND one of the following: Either 1. six years of industrial manufacturing experience, of which three years must have been at the supervisory level; Or 2. a certificate in Manufacturing Management from an accredited program AND five years of industrial manufacturing experience, of which three years must have been at the supervisory level; Or 3. an associate degree or higher in engineering, industrial management, industrial technology, or manufacturing technology AND four years of industrial manufacturing experience, of which three years must have been at the supervisory level. Eligible for reassignment, transfer, reachable for appointment from the appropriate eligible list or must meet the following minimum qualifications: Minimum Qualifications for a Promotional Appointment: must be a qualified employee of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and have had one year of permanent competitive, non-competitive NY HELPS*, or 55-b/55-c service as an Industrial Training Supervisor 1, Industrial Training Supervisor 2 (any parenthetic) or Industrial Training Supervisor 3 (any parenthetic), or as an Office Assistant 3 (Calculations).
