Responsibilities:Verifying patient information and appropriate accessioning part typeReviewing pertinent clinical historyMacroscopic examination of surgical tissue specimens with appropriate dictation and tissue sampling based on clinical historyEnsuring additional studies/procedures are performed based on clinical history (i.e. decalcification, flow cytometry, crystal polarization)Keeping a clean and orderly workstationAssisting with additional tasks as needed (specimen set up, accessioning, tumor banking, tissue disposal, etc.).
