Under general supervision, handles workers' compensation cases, including reviewing and processing claims, participating in settlement negotiations, recommending loss control strategies, ensuring program conformance to applicable laws and regulations, preparing required reports, and monitoring and evaluating the program activities to ensure the delivery of quality services. Prosecute and defend civil appeals on behalf of the Baltimore County government in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the Maryland Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals (any Circuit), and the Supreme Court of the United States.
