Lead preconstruction efforts for healthcare construction projects from concept through project start · Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and cost analyses · Manage subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and procurement strategies · Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements for completeness and constructability · Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions · Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and operations teams during project planning · Interface with healthcare clients, architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the preconstruction process · Support project handoff and ensure a smooth transition to construction teams · Assist with scheduling, logistics planning, and risk assessment during preconstruction. · 5–15+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and preconstruction · Strong healthcare construction experience preferred (hospitals, medical offices, surgical centers, clinics, healthcare renovations, etc.) · Proven ability to lead preconstruction efforts on complex commercial projects · Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing · Experience with conceptual estimating, budgeting, and value engineering · Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools (Bluebeam, OST, PlanSwift, etc.) · Stable work history with reputable commercial contractors · Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
