Experience with routine wet-lab techniques including mammalian cell culture, molecular biology assays (DNA/RNA/protein extraction/quantification, PCR, qPCR, western blotting, cloning/bacterial transformation), flow cytometry, colorimetric/fluorometric assays, and basic data analysis (Excel/GraphPad). The Skuli Lab is a basic/translational laboratory with a goal of developing new therapeutic strategies for patients with myeloid malignancies [acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)], particularly those with mutations in the tumor suppressor, TP53, which currently portends a terminal prognosis.
