Under the direction of the City Attorney or his/her designee is responsible for performing a variety of professional legal work in civil and criminal litigation, providing legal opinions and advice to City employees and officials, performing legal research, and investigating claims against the City and may exercise partial supervision over and direction to other attorneys or clerical staff. Prepares drafts, analyzes, reviews and issues opinions concerning legal documents including contracts, agreements ordinances, court documents, resolutions, complaints, summons, and leases and engages in negotiations regarding the same.
