Job duties include Insurance authorization, chart preparation, faxing, filing, and managing the phones, setting up recurring visits for patients, overseeing prescription management, monitoring patient visit activity and purging inactive account, following up on incomplete patient referrals, conversing with workers comp adjusters and insurance representatives to assure revenue cycle protection, recurring account oversight, Medicare Cap Management for Medicare patients, Insurance Verification, ability to work in multiple clinic and office settings in a very high paced environment, changing operation functions and work responsibilities daily. The fully integrated network is comprised of PIH Health Downey Hospital, PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital, PIH Health Whittier Hospital, 37 outpatient medical office buildings, a multispecialty medical (physician) group, home healthcare services and hospice care, as well as heart, cancer, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s health, urgent care and emergency services.
