Essential Tasks & Responsibilities: Opens facility entrance and greets customers; Informs patrons of local and state fish, game, and boating regulations; Sells fishing and boating permits, fishing tackle, and live bait including minnows and worms; Must learn to use the recreation software program proficiently to register users for programs, shelter rentals, campsites, fishing tournaments, and perform basic transactions related to purchases; Rents sailboats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and life jackets; Drains boats upon return and prepares them for next rental (inspects and repairs); Sells concession items, including packaged products, soft drinks, milk, and juices; Balances revenue and sale items at end of day; Maintains facility in a clean and orderly fashion, including emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning glass counters, tables, cabinets, and restrooms, and cleaning bait tanks; Performs basic clean up and custodial duties on grounds, facilities and equipment; Picks-up litter, lifts and empties garbage cans, cleans public restrooms and cleans equipment after use; Removes leaves, limbs, and debris from the grounds; Assists with park maintenance, such as mowing, weed eating, trimming, digging, planting of trees and shrubs, etc. Items which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this type of work: Concession items and merchandise, packaged products, soft drinks, milk, juices, cash register, calculator, mop, broom, First Aid supplies, scissors, telephone, receipt books, push button horn, hoses, whistle, office supplies, push mowers, riding mowers, weed-eaters, tractors, rakes, power hand tools, chainsaw, pruning saws and shears, utility vehicle, hydraulic powered riding equipment, sprinklers, irrigation equipment, water hoses, buckets, backpack blowers, backpack pump sprayers, hedge trimmer, basic hand tools, maintenance truck, power boat, and Personnel Resolution.
