You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, build strong relationships with organizational leadership, and oversee the delivery of high-quality client service. As a leader within the firm, you will play a key role in developing talent, strengthening client relationships, and driving the continued success of our nonprofit practice. What You'll Do Client Leadership & Service <ul><li>Manage a portfolio of nonprofit audit and attest clients, delivering exceptional service tailored to each organization's mission and operational needs.</li><li>Serve as the primary advisor and escalation point for accounting, auditing, and compliance matters.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with executive directors, CEOs, finance committees, and boards of directors.</li><li>Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services and strengthen long-term client partnerships.</li></ul> Technical Excellence <ul><li>Lead audits and attest engagements in compliance with professional standards and nonprofit industry requirements.</li><li>Perform final technical and quality control reviews of engagement workpapers and deliverables.</li><li>Stay current on accounting and auditing developments affecting nonprofit organizations, including Uniform Guidance, federal grant compliance, and nonprofit financial reporting.</li><li>Leverage technology and audit tools to improve efficiency and enhance client outcomes.</li></ul> Leadership & Team Development <ul><li>Mentor, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and staff.</li><li>Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.</li><li>Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Assist in developing and delivering internal training and continuing professional education programs.</li></ul> Practice Growth & Strategic Initiatives <ul><li>Collaborate with firm leadership to drive growth, profitability, innovation, and operational excellence.</li><li>Support business development efforts through networking, industry involvement, and relationship building within the nonprofit community.</li><li>Participate in firm-wide initiatives, committees, and strategic projects.</li><li>Help establish and execute growth strategies for the nonprofit audit practice.</li></ul> What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.</li><li>Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.</li><li>9+ years of auditing experience, preferably within public accounting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and client engagement management.</li><li>Proven experience leading complex audit engagements and managing client relationships.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit engagement software.</li><li>Proficiency with Co-Pilot or Chat GPT.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Master's degree in Accounting or related field.</li><li>Significant experience serving nonprofit organizations, foundations, associations, educational institutions, grant-funded human service agencies or other tax-exempt entities.</li><li>3+ years of client management experience.</li><li>7+ years of CFO or Finance Director experience</li><li>Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, CaseWare or similar audit software.</li><li>Experience with MAS90 and Blackbaud</li><li>Experience with GASB</li></ul> Success Traits: <ul><li>Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.</li><li>Exceptional communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to translate complex technical matters into practical business guidance.</li><li>Strong leadership, project management, and decision-making abilities.</li><li>High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.</li><li>Passion for serving mission-driven organizations and supporting their impact in the community.</li></ul> Full-Time Employee Benefits:   <ul><li>Salary and Career Advancement: Competitive salary and a solid career path to grow your professional experience that includes career development and training.</li><li>You’re Covered: Generous benefits package with 2 comprehensive healthcare options that include healthcare (PPO and High Deductible PPO), dental, and vision insurance for all full-time employees.</li><li>Work Schedules: Flexible Schedule Options, Paid Parental Leave, and Summer Schedule.</li><li>Holidays: 12 Paid Holidays that include a full week of winter break in December.</li><li>401(k): Firm contributes 4-5% annually, regardless of personal contributions.</li><li>Flexible PTO: not unlimited;
