Qualifications High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); possess a certificate of approved automotive mechanic training course, Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, military mechanic training, or six (6) months experience evaluating, maintaining, and repairing automobiles, trucks, buses, or fleet vehicles; familiarity with the use of common automotive hand tools and testing equipment. Perform other trade works as it relates to repairing vehicles or equipment (i.e., welding, glazier work, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, upholstery, tire repair, and automotive body repair).Work on automotive suspension systems, various brake systems, LP1 propane engine fuel systems, and heating & cooling systems.
