Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General knowledge of the maintenance and repair on a wide variety of automobiles, trucks, tractors and construction type equipment; thorough knowledge and skill in the use of service tools and diagnostic equipment such as drill press, grinders, brake lathes, laptop computer, scanner, welding equipment and all tools related to the repair and maintenance of various types of equipment; thorough knowledge in safety precautions and liabilities related to the repair and maintenance of various types of equipment; ability to do suspension repairs. Acceptable Experience and Training: Completion of high school or GED and considerable experience at the journeyman level as a line technician, supplemented by approved vocational school training in the automotive technology field, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
