Essential Functions Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs Perform other duties as assigned Duties Inspect/troubleshoot/maintain/modify avionics and electrical systems Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and directives Troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics systems Document maintenance actions per NAMP requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum of six (6) years' experience in the design of instrumentation systems for the collection of test data Aerospace industry or military aircraft experience desired Shall have experience supporting IPTs and ITTs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential Possess excellent computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Self-motivated and have strong attention to details; be adept at planning and managing resources and meeting milestones Prioritization skills are essential Must be able to work independently and hands-on, yet also possess strong teamwork skills Possess the ability to work well with engineers, technicians, Contractors, vendors, and end-user customers Must have a working knowledge of aircraft instrumentation systems such as those that are designed, but not limited to capture stress and strain, shock and vibration, temperature, position (i.e., aircraft surfaces, landing gear, etc.), noise and pressure measurements 7+ years avionics aviation maintenance experience 5+ years VH-92A, VH-3D, VH-60N or similar aircraft maintenance experience preferred Must be able to work day, swing or mid shift as required Physical Requirements Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
