If you're enthusiastic, service-minded, and interested in building a strong foundation for a career in banking, this is a fantastic opportunity to start your journey.Essential Functions:<ul><li>Provide support to retail branch staff within the assigned footprint.</li><li>Greet customers and prospective customers in a warm, professional manner that reflects our established service standards.</li><li>Deliver exceptional customer service by processing financial transactions accurately and professionally.</li><li>Maintain responsibility for a cash drawer and follow established balancing procedures.</li><li>Assist with daily branch operations, including processing night deposits, handling ATM deposits, and supporting vault, ATM, cash recycler, cash advance machine, and other operational needs.</li><li>Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.</li><li>Ensure adherence to security, audit, and compliance procedures.</li><li>Follow all established bank policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and complete assigned compliance training.</li><li>Build knowledge of bank products and services.</li><li>Introduce customers to alternative banking channels such as ATMs/ITMs and digital banking tools.</li><li>Identify customer needs and refer them to the appropriate team member or business partner.</li><li>Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.</li></ul>Job Related Qualifications:Required:<ul><li>Education: High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Prior Experience: 6+ months of customer service experience</li><li>Competencies:</li><li>Ability to make personal connections, engage customers, and maintain professionalism.</li><li>Ability to utilize multiple systems and applications accurately and simultaneously.</li><li>Knowledge of, or ability to learn, retail banking products and services.</li><li>Knowledge of, or ability to learn, fraud-prevention tools, processes, and techniques.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Ability to thrive in a team environment.</li><li>Strong mathematical, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to learn and use new technology effectively and efficiently.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>Able to travel: Frequently</li><li>Extensive computer usage is required.</li><li>Ability to work: Evenings, Occasionally, Weekends, Occasionally</li></ul>This job description is not exhaustive. Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained. (preferred) - High school diploma or equivalent educational experience. (preferred) HOURS will average approximately 33-34 per week and will include working some Saturday mornings in the Troy Office. This position is budgeted for 1,745 hours per year.
