The Prevention Specialist is responsible for facilitating programming intended to prevent sexual violence, and assisting survivors in dealing with the immediate and long-term impact of victimization across all of Survivor Support Services’ 9-county geographic reach in PPGNY Region 2: Schenectady, Schoharie, Fulton, Montgomery, Hamilton, Warren, Washington, and Saratoga counties. The Prevention Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality prevention education to youth and adults with the goal of reducing sexual assault and other forms of violence, by promoting healthy relationship skills, bystander intervention, and increasing awareness of resources for survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones.
